The Contour Pad
with Sheepskin Panels and Bare Flaps offers the same
benefits of the half pad, but in a contour pad style.
The sheepskin panels offers protection under the saddle
just like a half pad, while the "bare", or unlined,
flaps minimize bulk under the rider's leg. The flaps are
quilted with a layer of poly-flex, a material that
absorbs energy and eliminates bounce.
Like all Mattes
sheepskin pads, the pads feature an anatomically correct topline design that follows the contours of the horse's
back and allows for a perfect fit under the saddle. The
Spine-Free design ensures the spine is not in contact
with any seams, fabric or tension which eliminates the
risk of pinching, rubbing and pressure on the sensitive
area of the back around the spine in the gullet area
which can lead to back soreness.

Sheepskin has long
been known for it's amazing natural properties of the
wool combined with its structure eliminates bounce,
friction and efficiently disseminates heat and sweat.
This cannot be imitated by wool pile, artificial fiber
products or foam. The sheepskin hides are 100% natural
without chemical treatment and are made from one large
piece without seams to protect the horse from ridges of
pressure.

Available For The Quilt,
Sheepskin, Binding and Piping
Pads are machine
washable in cold water with the cleaning agent, MELP, to
restore the natural properties of the wool to extend the
life of the pad. Do not use chlorine bleach. Reshape and
air dry, or fluff in the dryer on air cycle only, no
heat. Do not dry completely. Remove and lay flat to
finish drying.
